Suitable for absolute beginners the tutorials start with a detailed overview of the basic tools and features and then show how to use them to create stunning 3D models and life-like animations. Poser 7 Training Videos

Poser 7, More 3D for your $

The shelves are full of software that is able to create 3D models and animate them in a somewhat realistic fashion. Most however are either extremely complex to learn, very expensive to purchase or both. Take Maya for instance, there is no doubting the power and advanced features that make this a choice for high-end 3D artists, and with a price tag of over $5,000 you need to be a well paid professional to even consider using Maya.

For the users who are not able or willing to part with high-end type money Smith Mirco’s Poser offers a real alternative, the learning curve is a lot easier for the beginner and the price of the software is more realistic at only $249.99, what’s more it can be purchased on both the Mac and Windows platform.

Poser ships with a vast array of professionally pre-built models and animations, and unlike most other 3D applications the complexities of rigging the animation are removed, making it easier for the beginner to get started.

Don’t let the easy to use interface or the simplistic way in which photorealistic models and animations can be created fool you into thinking that Poser lacks the power or features to be taken seriously for professional 3D creation, it’s more than able to compete with other more expensive 3D packages.

If your serious about using Poser and would like to master this application at your own speed in the comfort of your own desk this Poser 7 Training Video is ideal.

Adobe Illustrator CS4 Training DVD

The Illustrator CS4 Training DVD is an excellent choice for beginners through intermediate users.

The training DVD is divided into seventeen core learning sections with a total of 116 lessons. The sections are designed so you can skip over lessons you don’t care to take. But I recommend taking each lesson so you don’t miss any nuggets of gold you’ll find along the way.

Section 1, Key Illustrator Concepts, teaches you the basics you’ll use for every Illustrator project you undertake. Even if you think you already understand Illustrator, it’s worth reviewing these six core lessons just to make sure you get off to a good start.

In Section 2, you learn the basics of creating an Illustrator document including creating new document profiles, using multiple art boards, accessing libraries and content, working with Illustrator templates, and adding XMP metadata. You’ll understand the document creation process thoroughly by the time you complete these six lessons.

Section 3, The Illustrator Interface, completes the introductory portion of the training by showing you how to work with panels, grids, bounding boxes, rulers, guides and more. After that, the training DVD leads you through progressively deeper concepts, but makes learning them a snap.

The best thing about the Illustrator CS4 Training DVD is you learn by seeing and doing, rather than by reading and guessing. As you work through each section, you acquire the skills you need to create all of the same effects that you’ve been admiring in other people’s portfolios.

By the time you complete the final section, Working with Other Programs, you’ll be able to handle any Illustrator project that comes your way.

Running time is 8.5 hours. You need this training DVD if you want to master Illustrator CS4 in the shortest time possible.

Review of After Effects CS4 Training DVD

The After Effects CS4 Training DVD is designed for beginners and intermediate users.

The training DVD is divided into twenty-three core learning sections with a total of 136 lessons. Although the sections are designed so you can take the lessons in any order, or even skip some, you’ll get the best results from following the lesson plan. There are plenty of tips and tricks in every lesson, and you don’t want to miss them.

Section 1, Introduction, teaches you about using After Effects CS4 with other applications as well as how to use the example documents and files included with the training DVD.

In Section 2, Creating a Simple Project, you start right out doing just that. In the process, you learn the fundamental steps you’ll use for every After Effects CS4 project you’ll ever create. You’ll finish the section with your own animated object that you created using shape presets.

Section 3, Project and Importing Essentials, completes the fundamental training by teaching you how setup After Effects CS4 projects, import files into those projects, work with images, video and more.

You’ll appreciate the fact that you are never forced to listen to long lectures or read pages upon pages of boring instructional text. The After Effects CS4 Training DVD teaches you by letting you watch and do. This is the fastest and most effective way to take you from wherever your skill level is now to where you want it to be.

By the time you complete the final section, Bringing it all Together, you’ll know every tip and trick for getting the most out of After Effects CS4.

Running time is 8.75 hours. You need this training DVD if you want to master After Effects CS4 in the shortest time possible.

Review of Flash CS4 Training DVD

The Flash CS4 Professional Training DVD is the best choice for people with beginner to intermediate Flash skill levels.

The training DVD is divided into sixteen core learning sections with a total of 125 lessons. I like the way they divide the sections up because you can skip over any that may be below your current skill level and focus right in on what it is you want to learn.

Section 1, Getting Started with Flash, is a good review for those who are already Flash users, and a must see for beginners. The nine lessons in this section show you how to set up and customize the Flash CS4 environment, use keyboard shortcuts, and other fundamentals.

In Section 2 of the training DVD, you learn how to draw and work with colors using the built-in tools that Flash CS4 provides. You discover how to perform tasks such as creating gradients, working with transformations, creating fills and more.

One of the great things about this Flash CS4 training DVD is the natural progression it takes. After teaching you the basics of drawing in Section 2, Section 3 moves right into working with text. After you complete those four lessons, you move right into Section 4 where you learn how to create symbols and work with the Flash CS4 symbol library.

The Flash CS4 training DVD continues its logical progression through the remaining twelve sections that include working with timelines, creating tweens, working with bones, adding sounds, and more.

By the time you complete the final lesson you’ll have a rock-solid Flash CS4 education to carry you through the most complex projects.

Running time is 4.5 hours. You need this training DVD if you want to master Flash CS4 in the shortest time possible.

Review of Dreamweaver CS4 Training DVD

The Dreamweaver CS4 Training DVD is perfect for anyone who wants to get the most out of Dreamweaver CS4. I recommended it for both beginners and experienced Dreamweaver users.

The training DVD is divided into eighteen core learning sections. The first seven lessons in the Getting Started section address foundation items that everything else on the training DVD is built upon.

These first lessons teach about index pages and current design best practices. You get a good understanding of XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, and proper file naming conventions. If you are already up-to-speed on all of that, you can simply skip ahead to the more advanced topics.

The second seven lessons are in the Dreamweaver Interface section. They teach you how to navigate Dreamweaver CS4, the differences between the Windows and Mac versions, how to work with toolbars, and other essentials. Even if you already know Dreamweaver CS4, you’ll definitely learn something in this section.

The Site Control section contains four lessons that are particularly beneficial. While it’s not an issue when you are developing very small sites, proper site control becomes a concern when building sites with reusable elements, complex code, complicated CSS, etc. I picked up some good tips and tricks here that I wouldn’t have otherwise known.

After the basics, the training video goes straight to the core functions necessary to become productive as quickly as possible. The remaining fifteen sections start off with learning the process of creating new documents, then walks you through the key elements of mastering templates, adding graphics, code, Flash, user interactivity, and all of the things that Dreamweaver CS4 does so well.

Running just a little over 10 hours, this is the training DVD you need to tap into the power of Dreamweaver CS4 as quickly as possible.

Chroma Keying in one form or another as been around for a long time, often it’s referred to as Blue or Green Screening, Chrome Keying is one of the only video effects you don’t want people to notice, it’s got to look natural, there is no room for error, done badly it will make your footage look cheap and amateurish.

In essence Chroma Keying allows you to create an alpha channel ( Photoshop Users will be able to relate to this analogy ) to separate the subject from the background, however things aren’t that simple, and no two Chroma Keying projects are the same, quality of footage, lighting and even the clothes the subject is wearing will have a great bearing on the outcome and quality of the finished video, each project will require a different approach to achieve a believable result.

In this Chrome Keying training DVD expert Video supremo and Final Cut Pro master Larry Jorden explains the art of Chroma Keying in Apple Final Cut Pro, laying down the basics and highlighting how to tackle each individual scenario and use an array of filters and professional techniques to cut out even the most challenging subjects.

This Chrome Keying Training video is 2 hours in duration and assumes the user has a good basic knowledge of Apple Final Cut Pro.

Demo Tutorials – Apple Motion 3 Training DVD

Learn how to take advantage if the powerful features of Apple Motion and add another dimension to your videos. Take a simple movie and add Special Effects, Advanced Audio Behaviours or Moving Particles to create a professional looking production, learn how to incorporate Pervasive 3D and Sweeping Camera Angles to bring your movies to life and engage your audience, all this and more is taught in this comprehensive Apple Motion Training DVD by InfiniteSkills.

Shooting and editing video is only part of the recipe, audiences are far more sophisticated in their expectations of video, and a little dressing up with Apple Motion ensures that the audiences attention remains focused on your content. In the days before digital effects applications it would have been both costly and time consuming to add effects, motion trails, audio effects or 3D objects to video, now, with the right training it’s just a few mouse clicks.
